| INTERVIEWING TIPS |
- Please dress appropriately.
(Your appearance is the first thing and interviewer will notice, make a good first impression!)
- Shut off your cell phone/beeper.
(If your phone or beeper starts to ring while you are being interviewed, it can be very distracting as well as inconsiderate of the interviewers time)
- Be courteous/pleasant to the Receptionist.
The Receptionist is the "Gatekeeper" to any company, if she doesn't like you it could ruin your chance of entry.
- Use a strong handshake.
When meeting with your interviewer, please be conscience of your handshake. A firm strong grip shows the interviewer that you are confident and secure.
- Don't Interrupt.
Be a good listener; make sure the interviewer is finished with their statement or question before starting to talk. If you interrupt them it shows a poor attention span.
- NEVER discuss salary to coworkers.
During an interview or on the job, NEVER discuss salary with your coworkers. You may be making more money than they are and it could cause tension.
- SMILE.
A smile can do wonders! It could take a person in a bad mood and turn them around...SMILE, and the whole world smiles with you.
